The models also helped the students understand the meaning of using models and their limitations, in order to explain or learn a particular concept (in this case cells). This is a project based demonstrating Art and Science skills in STEAM. https://t.co/S54bUfUv8b

These are from my Year 7s using their Arts skills to make 3D science models of Cells (animal and plant cells). The students researched and applied their theoretical knowledge on building these models. The models are made by recyclable materials that students found at home. https://t.co/QfD12VOggC

Men, it's okay to accept that you’re struggling. You don't need to have a stiff upper lip or pull yourself together. They are phrases of the past. We all have mental health, and we all need and deserve help when we struggle with it.

Booking
Before you can start using the Wraparound Club you need to register by completing the registration form. A separate registration form is needed for each child as the details may differ.

The minimum booking for morning or afternoon wraparound is 3 days per week. We require 14 days notice to cancel a booking otherwise you will still be charged. Please contact the school office or Nursery Manager if you have any specific circumstances you feel we should be aware of.

Late collection of children at Extended Day Care

We would like to acknowledge and thank the vast majority of parents/carers who always collect their children by 6pm. Unfortunately however, we have been experiencing a problem with late collections in a number of cases. It is our legal responsibility to provide two staff members to stay behind with any child who has not been collected. This causes inconvenience to the staff members affected and incurs a staffing cost to the academy.

From Tuesday 3rd March 2020, the following will apply:

  • If it is the first occasion of late collection and the parent/carer has notified the School by 5pm, no charge will be made for supervision until 6.10pm.
  • After the first occasion, failure to collect your child after 6 pm will result in a £1 charge per every minute that you are late to cover the overtime paid to Chobham staff. The late fee is capped at £30.00.
  • Late fees should be paid in cash when your child is collected.
  • The academy will make a referral to social services at 6pm if no contact can be made with the parent/carer.

Booking and Deposit
Before you can start using the Wraparound service you need to register by completing the below online registration form.
A separate registration form is needed for each child as the details may differ.
To secure your booking, a £30.00 deposit must be paid within 48 hours of being invoiced. The deposit will be returned at the end of the service agreement minus any outstanding fees. Only once full payment for the half term has been received will your child be able to start attending the wraparound service.

We require 14 days notice to cancel a booking otherwise you will still be charged. Please contact the school office if you have any specific circumstances you feel we should be aware of.

Update
The wraparound service is at full capacity as of 15th July 2020. Any bookings submitted after this date will be added to the waiting list. Parents will then be contacted when a place becomes available.
